About BHRF

We report on the decisions — and the silences — that shape how Bangladesh stays well.

The Bangladesh Health Reporters Forum is a professional association of journalists, editors, and broadcast producers who report on public health, science, and social policy in Bangladesh. Founded in 2014, BHRF promotes accurate, ethical, and rigorous coverage of the country's health system.

BHRF runs reporting fellowships, training programmes, and policy convenings. The forum publishes original journalism on its own platform, files position papers to parliament, and convenes off-the-record briefings between journalists and senior officials.

Our mission

To strengthen the quality of health journalism in Bangladesh, raise the editorial standard of public-health coverage, and ensure that the country's reporters have the training, the access, and the institutional voice they need to hold the system to account.

BHRF is non-partisan, donor-diversified, and editorially independent.

Our vision

A Bangladesh where every citizen has access to clear, accurate, and timely health information — produced by journalists who are trained, supported, and respected as a critical part of the country's public-health infrastructure.

Leadership

Meet the executive committee

The forum is governed by an elected executive committee, supported by working groups and standing committees on ethics, training, and policy advocacy.
