Adopted at the AGM on 19 June 2025, this is the BHRF Code of Ethics for Health Journalism. The eight principles cover accuracy and verification, sourcing, conflicts of interest, embargoes, patient consent and identifying detail, the use of paid content, ethics of speculative coverage during outbreaks, and corrections. Each principle is followed by annotated guidance and a short worked example.
